ABOUT US Mount Elizabeth-Charter Behavioural Health Services (Mt Elizabeth-Charter) provides psychiatric and behavioural healthcare services to both local as well as international patients at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore. Mt Elizabeth-Charter taps on the experience of Charter Behavioural Health Systems (the leading provider of behavioural healthcare and addiction treatment programmes in the United States) to provide sophisticated clinical programmes and sound management techniques to treat both children and adults with emotional, behavioural, and psychiatric disorders, as well as addictions. Mt Elizabeth-Charter offers:
Along with individual therapy, group processes are an important component of these programmes. Patients learn about:
Each therapy group has its own clear goals. Mt-Elizabeth Charter places great emphasis on psychological well-being, communication and relationship skills, as well as alcohol and drugs avoidance. Treatment is tailored to the individual needs of each patient. By providing a full range of services and medication (where necessary), we strive to give our patients the most appropriate care possible. As family involvement is vital to a patient’s progress and psychological well-being, family members are educated about the patient’s condition and taught skills on how to help the patient recover. An important goal at Mt Elizabeth-Charter is to help the individual remain well. To achieve this, the patient, his or her family and the clinical team will work together to develop an appropriate discharge plan. The discharge plan may include a referral to a community based support group, recovery residence or for outpatient therapy. |
